L. Ray Smith's False Gospel Part 4: Recap, Review, and Conclusion

This is Part 4 and the conclusion of L. Ray Smith's False Gospel. Without further a due, let's recap.

Part 1, I refuted L. Ray Smith's denial of Eternal Hell and the Trinity

First on The trinity, in His article "Is God a Closed Trinity or an Open Family", L. Ray Smith this that God is an "open family". Again, God is all living person both natural and spiritual. But here's what disturbs me:

"I and the Father, We are ONE" (John 10:30)

Where did L. Ray get this verse. No where did Jesus say "we" or "the" in the King James Bible in John 10:30. He is using a corrupted bible, possibly from the Aramaic scriptures called the Peshitta. Apparently, The Sacred Name Cult has claimed that the Peshitta is the only authorized scripture translated from Hebrew to Aramaic. This was only translated in the 4th century AD by the Syrian Vulgate. Hebrew rabbis translated the Torah back during the Grecian Empire in Greek called the Septuagint, which is the authorized scripture that Emperor Ptolemy asked the rabbis to translate it into his language. This was dated back in the 3rd Century BC. Which is the only official scriptures that was translated into English by King James, including the Apostles that spoke Greek and Hebrew. The Sacred Name Cult claimed that Septuagint is a counterfeit of the Peshitta. They claim that Jesus means "Hail Zeus" and "Christos" means "Krishna". Remember that the Tower of Babel is confusion, which why there are arguments regarding about Jesus the Messiah, savior, and Godhead. Rabbi Schneider, host of the Jewish Jesus, claims that Jesus is Yeshua and God is Yahweh which they are all true because the Hebrew Torah was translated in the Greek Septuagint. But the most important text that was translated from Hebrew and Greek to English are the Masoretic Text and the Textus Receptus.

The correct translation from the King James is:

"I and my Father are one"

Most of the other bibles have incorrect verses except the American KJV which is the same as the original.

Jesus Christ said,

"...I am going to the Father, for the Father is GREATER than I" (John 14:28).

Where do we read that Christ is GREATER than the Father? There is no trinity in this verse!

When Jesus said that the He and the Father one, and The Father is greater than Him. He was talking about His Incarnation not natural essence.

Now L. Ray Smith denies the existence of eternal Hell. Much worse, he bashed the book "23 Minutes in Hell". Like all Universalists, including the Churches of God and Grace Community Church (formally Worldwide Churches of God), he thinks that the Lake of Fire/Hell is age-lasting, in Young's Literal Translation and Concordant Literal New Testament.


Folks, Hell is a real place, it's located in the black hole. It's called the outer darkness. The Lake of Fire is the Eternal Hell for the Spiritually dead without Christ Jesus. Not just a metaphor, but a REAL UNSEEN PLACE.

Now, in Part 2 I refuted His slandering blasphemy and assure you that you are NOT THE BEAST.

The following things that L. Ray suggest that we are THE BEAST is:


- That we fall from grace.


- Not falling from our first love (esp. leaving our wives)


- Doing Carnal things. While I believe unscriptural to tithe, it is not carnal to be baptized, nor believing in the Trinity, nor believing and preaching about Eternal Hell, or Eschatology. I do believe in Free Will but only limited to Moral Responsibility as well as endurance.

The question is: How can we be the Man of Sin if the Spirit of God is dwelling in us? The Holy Spirit can't dwell in us if we are the man of sin.

Here's L. Ray's Smith's question:

Are you beginning to SEE IT? Is God giving you understanding? Do you see the grand and marvelous wisdom of it all?

Here's my answer to you L., Ray Smith....NO!

You're teachings are not God's giving understanding. You are leading the blind. It's not true eschatology. In fact, you reject eschatology and attack the deity of Jesus Christ. You're teaching is not giving us wisdom. You are lukewarm. You are the vomit in the Lord's and mine's mouth ready to be spewed out. There is real eternal Hellfire. Hellfire aka Lake of Fire is not salvation. Hellfire is real torment, not fire baptism.

L. Ray Smith is afraid of water. 

Okay now, last but not least, Part 3, his refutation of Eternity and Evangelism


I have a problem with L. Ray's attack on aionios meaning eternal insisting that it means "age-lasting" like the Hebrew word Olam. Olam does mean age-lasting, but it can also mean eternal. He uses Concordant Literal New Testament and Young's Literal Testament, which they both attack the deity of Christ, (CLNT says that Jesus became the "Alpha and Omega" in Revelation 21:6). and contradicts 1 Timothy 1:17, 6:16,  Matthew 6:13, John 12:34, 14:16, 2 Corinthians 9:9, Ephesians 1:21, Daniel 7:17, Romans 1:23, Galatians 1:5, Philippians 4:20, 1 Peter 1:23, Jude 1:25, and Revelation 22:5.


L. Ray Smith was part of an Armstrong legalist cult like all universalists.


On the evangelism part, He denies and falsely claims that evangelism is a dung and carnal. That main problem is that he suggest that we will be CHASTISED by GOD'S WRATH instead of not being appointed unto. According to yes2truth, the word punish in the Greek word for CHASTISED is Dr. Strong's remark. So we should rest assure to ignore that word because it's a Babylonian contamination of God's Word.

Instead of salvation by grace thru faith, it's salvation by FLOGGING.


Now a review on L. Ray Smith,


The letters he gets are from followers and those who negatively disagrees with his false doctrine of Eternal Reconciliation. Like this from Dump (must be his internet name, not referring to a garbage dump)

I feel the same way as Dump. However, I have a staunch against Dr. Kennedy's belief on the Once Saved, Always Saved Doctrine. This was before his death. He does however had a defense against abortion and evolution.

Doctor B. does believe that L. Ray Smith does not know Greek. He doesn't use Strong's Concordance instead uses CLNT and YLT. 

Here's L. Ray's response

Shame on you, Doctor. You are NOT teaching the GOSPEL [GOOD NEWS] of Jesus Christ. Your beloved eternal torture in a fabled hellhole of fire for all eternity is a damnable doctrine of devils and demons. Give it up, and begin treating your Heavenly Father and His HOLY WORDS with dignity and respect!!! 

On the contrary L. Ray Smith, it is YOU who do not teach God's Inspired Word and use the KJV like your own toilet paper to wipe with.

 

Okay, that's about it. To conclusion to this sermon on L. Ray's Smith's false gospel.

 

I hope we learned something from this. You need to read God's Word and believe on Jesus, not L. Ray Smith. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing, the blind leading the blind and has a log in his eye.

L. Ray's Smith's False Gospel Part 3 The Denial of Evangelism, Eternity

This is part 3 of the sermon series L. Ray Smith's False Gospel. Last time in part 2, I refuted, assure to you, and gave you comforting words that you are NOT THE BEAST/MAN OF SIN/SON OF PERDITION. Now in Part 3, I am going to refute L. Ray Smith's denial of Evangelism, and Eternity.

L. Ray has denied the teaching of evangelism saying that God doesn't need preaching to save souls, instead through His Judgments (Wrath). This is self-righteousness and heresy. This is a similar teaching to Hyper-Calvinism.

The definition of "evangelism" from Webster's Dictionary states:

The winning or revival of personal commitments to Christ.

Jesus says in Matthew 28:19:
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost...
L. Ray Smith is not doing what Jesus Commands Him to do. Why? Because he refutes evangelism or winning of personal commitments to Christ.

It is ALL OF GOD. It is not wrong to tell others of your knowledge of God and His Word. It is not, however, your responsibility to "get people saved." Only God can do that.

If evangelism is not our job to save the Lord's lost sheep, then How will He do that?

It is GOD who does the calling:

How will God do that? Without the help of the Apostles, God can't do it alone. The death on the Cross of Jesus will be meaningless.

It is CHRIST Who chooses from those His Father dragged:  "Ye have not chosen Me, but I HAVE CHOSEN YOU…" (John 15:16). But Christ is The Father He has not just chosen us to come to Him, he chose us to be Apostles. In Part 1, L. Ray Smith denies that Jesus is The Father. It is GOD who does the dragging: "No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent Me, draw him [Gk: ‘drag him’]…" (John 6:44). Notice that he has not read the entire verse. Jesus is speaking in metaphor, Strong's Greek Definition Number 1670 the word "draw" translated from the Greek word  "helkuo" in metaphor means "lead". And all will respond to God’s judgments and chastisements: Revelation 16:11 shows that they will curse God and refuse to turn from their sins. God's Judgments are not make people respond. Now here's a question from L. Ray that I will answer: Why didn’t the King James translate this: "…behold I have WON two other talents…?" Surely even these translators could see the implications of increasing our God-given talents by gambling with them for higher ‘WINNINGS.’  L. Ray Smith has no clue that The Parable of Talents is not to be taken literally but symbolically just like the Parable of the Speck and the Log, The Prodigal Son, Parable of the Bridegroom, Parable of the Ten Virgins, Parable of the Mustard Seed, the parable of the sower and the Parable of Lazarus and The Rich Man. Like the Parable of the Speck and the Log, L. Ray has a log in his eye. And like the Parable of the Sower and the seed, L. Ray's heart is full of thorns and he chokes The Word. We need to pay attention to His Word and make sure that our hearts are fertile like The Parable of the Sower and the Seed. The Parable of Talents shows that we must invest His Word to others not to keep it to ourselves. This doesn't not have to do with money, however most false evangelists abuse this parable and treat it as part of the Prosperity Gospel. Most of all, the Parable of Talents refers to the time of the Lord's Return at the end of the Age. When the Judgment comes, it all depends if we make a good profit of His Word or become lazy. L. Ray is making a bad profit of the Lord's Word, Eternal punishment or not, Hell is a real place where he'll weep and gnash his teeth. I am not here to judge, but to pray that he needs to find the Real Truth, and not lies he gets from Armstrongists. Now I'm not going to respond back to his attack on evangelists. Except that he states that Evangelists must stay silent in the congregation. The Apostles back in during the Roman Empire spoke Hebrew, Greek, and Latin. Some of the pulpits do have translators to translate to the congregation in other countries while the evangelist preaches. People, we must not be silenced by L. Ray Smith, preventing us to preach the gospel to the world. Onto Eternity L. Ray thinks that "aionion" and "aionios" does not mean "eternity or everlasting" instead it means "age-lasting". This is what the annihilationists/universalists are teaching.  We all know the aion means "age". To support his refutation on Eternity: - God cannot be eternal. God eventually dies. (L. Ray Smith and the universalists are suggesting that God is "age-lasting") - God cannot give eternal life even through His Son.  Therefore, the death and resurrection is meaningless. (L. Ray thinks that God is giving us an "age-lasting" life) - God's covenant cannot be eternal. If a spiritual covenant is temporal in the NT like in the OT, then there's no hope for mankind and Christ's coming, death, and resurrection is meaningless. (L. Ray thinks that God's covenant is "Age-lasting") - God's Kingdom (Heaven) cannot be eternal. God's Kingdom eventually passes away. (Like Hell or Sheol, L. Ray Smith thinks that Heaven is "age-lasting") - Angels and Satan are not eternal, they all die.(L. Ray Smith thinks that angels and Satan are "age-lasting") - God's glory and righteousness cannot be eternal. God is a sinner. (L. Ray thinks that God's Glory and Righteousness is "age-lasting") - God's Word is not eternal. Therefore it passes away. (L. Ray Smith is suggesting that God's Word is "age-lasting") - Jesus is not eternal. Therefore, L. Ray says, He is a man which means the death and resurrection on the cross again is meaningless. (Do I have to say this again?) - Lake of Fire (Gehenna) is not eternal, so it burns out. This idea L. Ray would've thought came from the Watchtower Cult (Jehovah's Witnesses). JW claims that God would throw those in there who are not part of their society to burn or annihilate. Gehenna is also called Hinnom, a garbage site located outside of Jerusalem where they dump their trash there and burn it. Smoke rises and worms will die in the fire. But if L. Ray thinks that spiritual fire is age-lasting, then it burns out like literal fire.  - God's wisdom is not eternal. God is unwise. Either way, a ridiculous, non-sound false doctrine that L. Ray Smith preaches is refuted.  Two and Two cannot be equal to five.  Jesus warns that if we change or take God's word out of context, we will be blotted out of the Lamb's Book of Life and out of God's Kingdom. That's not just directly at us, that's goes directly to L. Ray Smith. Leave God's Word alone. Now "aionios" and "aionian" are the same, and aion can sometimes be the same according to Strong Concordance. However aion means age, aionios and aionian means everlasting or eternal. Therefore God, His Kingdom, His Covenant, Glory, righteousness, and his life giving is eternal.  The Angels and Satan are eternal. Hell is eternal. Here's are ridiculous examples from L. Ray Smith A true unilateral covenant is one in which there is NO NEEDFUL PARTICIPATION OF A SECOND PARTY. The second that one puts a second party requirement into receiving the benefit of a unilateral covenant, it is no longer truly unilateral, but rather collateral. If the Spiritual Covenant, is not eternal and instead unilateral without a second party. Then a covenant like that will not last long. RAINBOW COVENANT: Possibly the only truly unilateral covenant in the Bible, where absolutely no participation on our part is required for its fulfillment. Gen. 9:16,  "And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting  [Heb: olam aionion/eonian] covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth."  That covenant was not directly for us, it was for Noah in return that God will never harm the earth, but not for long until the Tower of Babel. Comment: The concept of "eternity" is foreign to the Holy Scriptures. There is virtually nothing that is outside of the time periods known as aions. There are just a couple of hints regarding life beyond the ages of time. Luke speaks of things pertaining to the Kingdom, not coming to an end. And Paul tells us that in resurrection we will have "incorruption" and "immortality" signifying "deathlessness," but neither word has to do with time itself. Paul also speaks of a time in which God will be "ALL in all." That is the extent to which the Scriptures even hint of eternity or anything beyond the ages of time. First, if everlasting is not eternal, then there no such thing as eternity. If there's no eternity, then there's no incorruption or immortality. In other words, we are all dead. Plus, Paul did not say literally that God will be in all, but all that those who believe in Christ. This is annihilationism. II Cor. 4:18 is neither speaking of "deathless" or "everlasting," as you suggest. It is speaking of what is happening now, in our life of flesh, and what will happen during the ages of our reign with Christ in the kingdom of God. The things of this life, we SEE daily. The things pertaining to the Kingdom of God are as yet "NOT seen." Again, it is not even speaking of what is "visible" and "Invisible," but rather what is NOW SEEN as compared with things "eonian" and NOT YET SEEN, which when seen will not be temporary, but will last through whole eons of time. And all that is perfected through the Kingdom of God and the reign of Christ bringing all enemies into subjection, will last on PAST the eons, and will have NO END. So L. Ray is suggesting that all mankind are going to Heaven no matter when we sin as disembodied spirits. Oh, wait, how are we going to get to Heaven if it's not eternal?  If God's Kingdom is not eternal, it passes away. And furthermore, Why does L. Ray think that Paul never spoke about the things that are visible like we see in this physical world and the "invisible" in the world to come which is Heaven? According to John MacArthur, this world is "age-lasting" or in Hebrew "olam", so God will uncreate it. John MacArthur did a sermon on the "uncreation".  If the spiritual Heaven is uncreated, then there's no place for us believers to go. We would all be into nothingness.  If there's a difference between the "seen" and "unseen", then there's a difference between the "creation" and "uncreation". And I will say it again, after the literal 1000 years of Christ's Reign, he will judge those [that's includes you, L. Ray Smith] and all His enemies will be eternally (Gk: never-ending) tormented, not subjected. This age (aion) will end. This dying universe (aion) will end, but His Eternal Kingdom (aionos) will have NO END. Amen. The next great event in prophecy is not eternity, but rather the END of this eon and the BEGINNING of the next—the one in which the very elect will reign with Christ. There is no sense in jumping into eternity when as yet, we have numerous ages to yet live and administer God’s government and His Great Judgment. And so, what is not yet seen, is "eonian" (pertaining to the eons), and not "eternity" as you and the King James suggests in this verse. L. Ray Smith is not preaching true eschatology. Not all mankind will be God's Elect, if there's no eternity. In other words, he's preaching Scientology, which is dangerous, especially when he rebukes creationism and young earth. He mixes God and Evolution. There is a saying in the scriptures: "No one can serve two masters" (Matthew 6:24) I'm done here. End of Part 3. Part 4 is a recap, review and conclusion of this L. L. Ray Smith's False Gospel Part 2: The Antichrist (Man of Sin/Beast/Son of Perdition)

This is part 2 of this sermon series "L. Ray Smith's False Gospel". In Part 1, I exposed L. Ray's denial of the Trinity and the existence of Eternal Hell. Part 2 is where I refute L. Ray's False Gospel of the Antichrist (Beast/Man of Sin/Son of Perdition), and ensuring you readers that you do not fit the description.

First, we cannot know who the name of the Antichrist unless there's a "Falling away." and the Restrainer (The Church) is removed. Most theologians have say that this has to do with our corrupted churches, including a self-esteem gospel, preaching that there are many other ways to Heaven, combining Christianity and Islam to Chrislam, banning the preaching of sin, removing the cross, teaching psycho babble nonsense, allowing rock bands to play in our churches and ignoring the preaching and singing of the "Old Rugged Cross". The source I got it from was Dr. Jack Van Impe.

Now here's the ugly part of L. Ray's description of the "falling away":

What an astonishing truth it is, that God CAUSES all those destined from the foundation of the world, to be chosen in Christ, that they should "fall away" from the Truth and "leave their first love" before they can be truly spiritually converted. Yet this is the plain declaration of Scripture.

Now why would God want us to do that? L. Ray is taking the scriptures out of context saying that we must literally fall away from God's Truth and leave our wives. This is heresy. The term "falling away" was meant for the corrupted churches we now have today. Jesus never said we should literally leave our wives to literally follow Him. Jesus is speaking in metaphor. He wants us to follow His Word. He commanded us to love our wives, not leave them.

Another irrelevant and most out of context verse L. Ray said:

Peter fell away:

"Jesus said unto him [Peter], Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, you shall deny me thrice [three times]" (Matt. 26:34).

If Peter fell away did he hung himself to a tree like Judas? 

All the apostles fell away:

"Then said Jesus unto them, ALL YE shall be offended because of Me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad" (Matt. 26:31).

"And they ALL forsook Him, and fled." (Mark 14:50).

The Apostles never fell away except Judas. Jesus was predicting that the people of Jerusalem would be scattered and that was fulfilled in 70 AD, when Jerusalem was destroyed by Titus.

Paul fell away:

"As for Saul [renamed Paul], he made havock of the church…" (Acts 8:3) [while at the very same time he was "blameless" in keeping the Law of Moses] (Phil. 3:6).

 Jesus blinded Paul by his Great Glory when He saw him killing and persecuting the Christians.

Paul warned the Ephesian Elders about the "flock—church" falling away:

"For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock [the whole flock]." (Acts 20:29).

 L. Ray has been interpreting the wrong verse. Paul predicted that there will be false pastors preaching self-esteem, Chrislam, denying and forbidding the preaching of sin, saying that there are other ways to Heaven, etc. This was prophesied and it is happening in our churches today.

I had seen enough of L. Ray putting these verses out of context. Especially when he takes 1 Corinthians 13:8 out of context:

"Charity [Old English for ‘love’] never fails…" (I Cor. 13:8). 

Charity is not OLD ENGLISH for love. Webster's definition for Charity means "to give". In Christian theology it means "to care for others".  Paul tells us that we are not to ask in return.

It's time for go on to the big part, Who is the Antichrist/Beast/Son of Perdition/Man of Sin.


From our first parents onward, God has always allowed men to believe that they are able of and by themselves (by their supposed phantom "free" will) to love God and be obedient to His laws. Despite God’s plethora of testimonies to the contrary, theologians and philosophers alike have taught mankind that they are indeed ABLE TO CHOOSE and, ABLE TO DO and to carry out that choice, because they have the "free will" within them to do so. What they have within them is a "beast" that is no more able to choose and obey God than any literal beast of the field. 

There he goes. I was afraid he said with his psycho babble false gospel. He claims to reveal that we are THE BEAST. Of course, though false theologians claim that there are many ways to get to Heaven. L. Ray thinks that we don't have a conscience to tell us to do what is right or wrong. He contradicts himself that he doesn't have a conscience to help him choose. We are not animals.

"Nevertheless man being in honor abides not [does not endure]: he is LIKE THE BEASTS that perish" and "…he is LIKE THE BEASTS that perish: (Ps. 49:12, 20).

Not endure what? Sound doctrine? If Adam and Eve are the beast, then God must destroy them if that's what L.Ray Smith think. If God did destroyed Adam and Eve in the Beginning instead of casting them out of the Garden, we would not exist.

  

"But these, as NATURAL BRUTE BEASTS, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption" (II Pet. 2:12).

L. Ray Smith says that God doesn't want the Good News to be preached and instead pour His wrath upon us so that we should worship Him. L. Ray Smith has finally claim that Jesus Christ like us is THE BEAST and not God. I'm now thinking that L. Ray Smith is a Watchtower Cultist. God judgments making mankind perish. Just because we are the beasts, everyone will refuse to repent or worse be wiped out into oblivion if L. Ray preaches like that. He's taking the verse too literally.


I seen enough of him. How can all men BE SAVED if they are THE BEAST? L. Ray said it himself, we must be DESTROYED since we are THE BEAST.  Jesus says "there should no flesh be saved."


People, L. Ray's words is not sound doctrine. Especially when he thinks that believing in the Trinity, speaking in language he claims "DEMONIC GIBBERISH", crying out to the Lord for forgiveness, believing in Eschatology, being baptized  and preaching about Eternal Hell profit us nothing.

Let me remind you that L. Ray Smith's words are UNTRUE. Do not let him making you feel more depressed or have suicidal thoughts like Judas had.   L. Ray has a BEAST iWITHIN HIM, in other words, a DEMON WITHIN HIM. Satan is using him to make you lose your faith in the Lord. Beast means "demon".

Furthermore, Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:39-40:

All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men , another flesh of beasts , another of fishes, and another of birds. 40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

This verse proves that we are not the beast. We are different from animals. The word beast is both literal is symbolic, meaning demon, devils, antichrist.

Have you had a demon in you? There are ways for a demon to possess your immortal soul through Harry Potter, Dungeons and Dragons, Tarot cards, palm reading, fortune telling, and Ouija boards. If you have any of these things that associate with the occult, BURN THEM NOW and ask Jesus to forgive you.

Now here's the description of what the Beast/Antichrist/Son of Perdition/Man of Sin will be. 

The Real Beast will be a man, a false messiah, not MANKIND. L. Ray has failed to read the entire verse what symbolizes The Beast of Revelation 13:2:

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

Now how does L. Ray Smith explains this? He doesn't. He ignores and just uses the verses directly at us. Do we have literal horns, bear feet, and look like leopards? No. This is not to be taken literally, but symbolically and prophetically. Most of all he is not believing in the Lord Jesus. You should look on his website, it doesn't include on believing in the Lord Jesus.

Why the Middle East you asked? It's simply clear. Israel today has its' enemies around her. Since after the fall of the Roman Empire, there was something about the Iron and Clay in the Image of Daniel 2. It has to do something with the Middle East. Iran and Iraq were part of the Ottoman Empire. What about Greece? The country was never part of it but rather, that Turkey was part of the Ottoman Empire, back then it was part of the Grecian Empire.

If we look into Ezekiel 38, Magog refers to the nations North of Israel. Russia, Syria, Lebanon, Meshach which is Armenia, and Georgia (A country), Gomer is Egypt, Tubal is Turkey, then we have Persia (Iran), Ethiopia, and Syria. This is why we have the Arab Spring. All the nations are going to come against Israel. The Ottoman Empire, which is now the Arab League and the Muslim Caliphate, represents the Iron and Clay.

These Middle Eastern Nations are the key players to the End Times. If you read the last article, you know it will happen in the future.

So again THE BEAST IS NOT YOU. You are not the Man of Sin or Son of Perdition. Rest assure. Just Believe and have faith in the Lord Jesus.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved - Acts 16:31.

This doesn't mean OSAS.  When you believe in Him, you must do what His Word tells you to do.

L. Ray Smith's False Gospel Part 1: The Denial of The Trinity and Eternal Hell

This is going to be the first of my sermon series on exposing false teachers who preaches universalism, annihilationism, condemnation, self-righteousness, self-esteem, and prosperity. This will be Part 1 of the sermon series where I expose L. Ray Smith's false gospel on the denial of The Trinity and Eternal Hell. Part 2 will be on the Antichrist (Beast/Man of Sin/Son of Perdition) where I will refute his teachings that mankind is the Antichrist. Part 3 is where I refute his teachings on the denial of Evangelism, Creationism and Eternity.  then I will rap it up in Part 4 with a recap, review, and the conclusion L. Ray Smith's false gospel.

Now I am going to say that L. Ray Smith's teachings is not sound doctrine and he is preaching the doctrine of self-righteousness, condemnation, universal salvation.

The definition of "universal salvation" is:

When Jesus is going to save all mankind, sinners and believers. In this case, known as Once Saved, Always Saved.

According to L. Ray's Smith's definition he says that:

"God will save all the world through His judgments." In other words, he thinks that the judgments will make people turn away from their sins without the need of evangelism.

Again his words are self-righteous. Even with God's judgments, everyone will still curse God and refuse to turn away from their sins according to Revelation 16:11:

And [they] blasphemed the God of heaven (Jesus) because of their pains and their sores (God's Judgments), and repented not of their deeds (sins).

Now I will refute everything he says about the denial of Eternal Hell.

Hell is not only a word found in many Versions; it is also a doctrine based on that word. The doctrine of hell is an invention of men and is nowhere found in the Hebrew or Greek manuscripts. As the King James is the most well known of all versions, and because Christendom as a whole embraces the pagan doctrine of “eternal torture in a place called hell,” it behooves us to deal with this subject in some detail.

I will use Strong's Definition of the term Hell in Revelation 20:13:

In other words, the term "Hell" is not an invention of men.  It is the teaching from the Word of God.

In Hebrew scriptures it's called "Sheol" which is the temporal place where the souls await for judgment. It is also called "Abraham's Bosom". The Parable of Lazarus and the Rich Man that Jesus describes is where the souls go depending if one who has accepted and believe that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of their life or not.  Paradise is the temporal place where those who believe in Him go, it is known as the First Heaven. Hades which is the First Hell is where the Lost go. Even is Hell does exist, it's not seen by the Human eye, it's invisible, just like Paradise and Heaven.

The Second Hell is the Lake of Fire, is where of those who don't receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, worship the Antichrist and take his mark. This will happen after the 1000 year reign of Christ on Earth. The old universe will be replaced with a new universe that will be a perfect fit for all of us.  The Lake of Fire is "everlasting fire" (Matthew 25:41). It is the place where it is prepared for the Devil and his angels. The word "everlasting" comes from the Greek "Aionos" meaning "eternal" which means there is an Eternal Hell. It is the final place where the fire is unquenched, the worm never dies (Mark 9:48), the torment is everlasting, and there will be no rest day or night forever. (Revelation 14:11)

God has shown Himself to be not only a fire, but a CONSUMING FIRE all through the Scriptures. You will be amazed how often God speaks of fire in bringing judgment on humanity. ALL IS OF GOD, II Cor. 5:18, Rom. 11:36, Eph. 1:11, etc. God IS a consuming FIRE. 

If God is the Lake of Fire, Where is the Devil? Will the symbolic fire consume him and turn him back into an angel like once he was? No. This Lake of Fire does not symbolize God, but symbolizes the outer darkness. Where do you find the outer darkness? A black hole of course.

God's judgment will not make humanity turn away from their sins. Only the Gospel will.

L. Ray Smith's teachings is again not sound doctrine, but the teachings of men. Some Fundamentalists Churches do teach Hell, but some do not because of the Once Saved, Always Saved Doctrine and the doctrine of self-esteem.

Please do not attack me. I do not preach OSAS. I accepted Jesus as Lord and I do what the Lord commands me to do is PREACH THE TRUE WORD OF GOD. I preach eschatology and the endurance gospel.

Oh the blasphemy of those who teach that God’s most heartfelt desires WILL NOT COME TO PASS, but will utterly fail!!! Jesus Christ is not the potential Savior of the world; He IS THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD!!! HE WILL SAVE THE WORLD!!!

You see people, no one will be saved, because even if God's judgments will come upon us, some or most will curse God and refuse to turn away from their sins. L. Ray's false gospel on God of not needing the Apostles to spread the Good News is NOT GOOD NEWS.

Now onto the Doctrine of the Trinity and L. Ray's denial of the Trinity.

Even if the word Trinity is not found in the bible, Matthew 28:19 shows the definition of the Trinity (God The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit).  Those names are not literal persons, but symbolic, they are the names that describes Jesus. Before He came into the World, He was always there for Abraham and Moses.

Strong's Greek Definition Number 2316 proves of the Trinity comes from the Greek "theos". describing Jesus as the "Godhead, trinity.".

Notice that the term Godhead is also mentioned three times in the NT. (Acts 17:29, Romans 1:20, Colossians 2:9) The term Godhead defines in Strong's Greek Definition Number 2304 from theios meaning God, which is "spoken of the only and True God, trinity."

I challenge L. Ray Smith to use Strong's Dictionary and see it for himself.

Jesus Christ IS A MAN! "For there is ONE GOD, and ONE MEDIATOR of God and mankind, A MAN, Christ Jesus..." (I Tim. 2:5).

Jesus is God in Flesh and the Godhead. Why does L. Ray Smith take it out of context? If Jesus is not God, then His death on the Cross is meaningless. This is just the same teaching The Watchtower (Jehovah's Witness) teaches. This includes The Seventh Day Adventist, The Sacred Name Movement, and the Armstrongists.

Now, I am going to explain the difference between John 10:30, and 14:28 to prove L. Ray Smith and the Universalists wrong.


I and my Father are one. (John 10:30)

Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.  (John 14:28)

Now Jesus didn't say He's not God. In his spirit essence, He is equal to God. In natural essence, God is greater than Him. Before Jesus became flesh, He was always there for Abraham and Moses because He is the Father or in Hebrew "Yahweh". Jesus or Yeshua is Yahweh. It's not about His Appearance, but His essence, both natural and spiritual. What about the Holy Spirit? Jesus is the Holy Spirit. Jesus said He'll go away and come again. Jesus was not literally going to His Father, but in metaphor He is referring to His Father's Kingdom.


People, brethren, He is coming again and he will one day call His Bride home. This is a message of encouragement. Remember, we not equal to the Lord, but we will be soon.
