Caylee's Law is not the way

On July 5, 2011, Casey Anthony was found not guilty for first degree murder and child neglect. This got Floridans and America outraged. For the people of Florida contacted their Senator and House of Representative to make Caylee's Law a federal law. Now let's not throw the bathwater out with baby and overreact. Caylee's law if passed and signed into federal law would put parents in jail for not reporting their children missing within 24 hours. The penalty could be up to 20 years in prison if passed and signed into law. Caylee's law as the Wall Street noted is "unconstitutional". I think the ACLJ would agree with me.

I know that we want Casey to be punished for her crime and sin. But this is not the way. Casey after she is released could ask Jesus to forgive her and she could take an anger management and/or be treated by a psychiatric ward. The Jury did forgive and acquitted her, why can't we all do the same?

Jesus says "Forgive those and you'll be forgiven."

It means we are to forgive others of their crimes. The legal system is based on evidence of innocence, not guilt.

I think the Floridans will be judged on the Judgment for revenge. Remember that Jonah wanted revenge after he warned the people of Nineveh, the ancient capital of Assyria, but never learned his lesson. Remember, if you had a loved one who was raped and/or killed by a rapist, you wanted revenge. Guess what you will be judged for your hate.

Revenge is not the answer, forgiveness is.

If you don't know how to forgive, please pray these words:

Lord Jesus,

Please show me how to forgive those no matter what sin they committed. Please, Lord Jesus, come into my heart. I trust you as my Lord and Savior.

In your name I pray,

Amen.

God bless you and I will write more next time.
